Just moved!

Mon Aug 11, 2008, 8:30 AM
  • Mood: Apprehensive
Greetings from beautiful* Newark, New Jersey!

I recently moved out here from IL, so this is quite a change. Now I actually have a decent public transportation system! Which is good, because it's a hell of a lot easier than driving in Newark. The city itself doesn't have the best reputation, but my apartment is in a decent enough area.

In September I start classes at Rutgers University. In a few years (hopefully) I'll have a PhD in ecology and evolution!

Oh, and I picked up some photography stuff on ebay. We'll see if I get any time to use it though.

*note: Newark may not actually be beautiful

Thanks for the add. I'm not as active as I used to be, but I'll try to work on stuff that I can update with.

Thanks so much for the :+fav: on Antarctica!!

When are you going to paint again? :aww:
:icondt3r:
Quite a while, I'm afraid. I don't even have an easel now, and I don't have the money to buy one. :worry:

Aww, that sucks :(
I bought mine really cheap (well actually it was a birthday-gift from Egbert, but I was there when he bought it). I'm lucky to have stores around that sell painting equipment cheap; makes the step to try it out a little easier. Sure it's not the best quality of paint, but for a beginner it's good enough! :aww:

If sending stuff to the US wasn't so expensive, I would buy one for you
:icondt3r:
Aww, thanks. It means a lot, I know how hard it is to pull together money when you're in graduate school.

No problem at all. You certainly deserve it.
